The Board of Education of the Hoosic Valley Central School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time, 10-month position of Cook. Work involves responsibility for the preparation and cooking of a variety of foods. Oversees the recording of daily meals. Supervises and participates in cleaning kitchen, serving, and storage areas and care of equipment. Oversees the requirements and ordering of all foods, breads, and supplies. Maintains an inventory of food, bread and supplies. Performs related duties as required. Must meet Rensselaer County Civil Service qualification for the position of Cook. Retirement and benefit package offered.

FOOD SERVICE HELPER
The Board of Education of the Hoosic Valley Central School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time (approximately 3 hours/day), 10-month position of Food Service Helper, beginning for the 2019-20 School Year.
Duties may include:
· Sets tables and clears them after meals;
· Fills sugar bowls and salt and pepper shakers;
· Cleans dining rooms and dish and linen closets;
· Cleans, washes and otherwise prepares vegetables and fruit for cooking;
· Assists in the preparation of salads and desserts;
· Helps Cooks in any phase of their duties;
· Washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine;
· Sweeps, mops and cleans kitchen;
· May act as Monitor
· May act as Cashier.
Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of proper methods of serving food and of the care of tableware, glassware, silver, and kitchen appliances;
· Ability to follow oral and written directions;
· Good physical condition;
· Experience in a school, restaurant or hotel dining room is desirable.
Salary: $13.45 per hour
