The Board of Education of the Hoosic Valley Central School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a vacancy for one full-time, 12-month position of Cleaner.
Duties include:
· Dusts, cleans and polishes chairs, tables, desks and other furniture;
· Sweeps and washes floors, walls and hallways
· Cleans and washes bathroom floors, sinks, walls, toilets and mirrors;
· Vacuums and washes carpets;
· Washes drapes and curtains and cleans Venetian blinds;
· Maintains bathrooms by filling towel, tissue and soap dispensers;
· Empties waste paper baskets;
· Gathers and disposes of refuse;
· May perform a variety of routine errands;
· May arrange chairs, tables and other equipment for special events;
· Performance of related work, as required.
Qualifications:
· Knowledge of building cleaning methods, materials and equipment;
· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
· Willingness to perform cleaning and other manual tasks;
· Ability to read and write; thoroughness; cleanliness;
· Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position;
